Education and Training:

I am a licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (F.1600015- SUPV).  I completed my Bachelor’s of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences, with a focus in Family Studies from the Ohio State University. I then moved to Pasadena, California where I completed my Master’s of Science in Marital and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary. While in graduate school, I trained under Dr. Terry D. Hargrave, founder of Restoration Therapy model- which is central to my practice. This type of therapy empowers clients to be the expert in their lives- understanding why destructive patterns in relationships happen and how to work toward resolving conflict, connecting with others more easily, and moving on from hurtful experiences. This model helps individuals and couples build trust, empathy, and understanding as well as skills to feel at peace and more fully themselves in their lives. While I have experience with a broad range of challenges, I have a focus in couples therapy, infidelity repair and partner betrayal trauma, sex addiction, trauma/distressing events, and addiction recovery and related issues. I am EMDR- trained through EMDR-HAP, a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Candidate in training (CSATC) with the Patrick Carnes model, Prepare/Enrich certified facilitator and trainer, addiction recovery trained through West Coast Counseling and Group Therapy Center, Restoration Therapy Levels 1 & 2 certified through supervision with Dr. Terry D. Hargrave.

My Interests:

After living out of state for several years, I'm grateful to be back in the Midwest and in my home city of Columbus. I like to spend my free time outside, going on day trips to surrounding small towns and cities, browsing farmer’s markets, and walking through our metro parks. I also enjoy learning about architecture, local artists, and spirituality. It's been an honor to work with the individuals, couples, and families who have called me their therapist.
